Laura Linney's portrayal as vulnerable, yet strong characters has made her one of today's greatest American actors. While spending her time at the house of her father and gaining an interest in theater. Following her studies in Brown University for a while and then later, she attended Juilliard School to study acting. Beginning her career at the Broadway soon after graduation, she appeared on film in just two years. She also appeared on TV following a year. In the years since, she's been appearing in a variety of films, TV plays and stage productions. There have been numerous awards in her long career. These include 4 Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three Academy Award Nominations, and five Tony Award Nominations. In spite of numerous awards the theatre is still her primary passion and she continues to perform both on stage and screen.
